The Hifz Committee has been inaugurated in the southern city of Fuvahmulah.

Speaking at the ceremony to inaugurate the Hifz Committee in Fuvahmulah City, Vice President Faisal Naseem stated that bringing decentralization is one of the most inclusive efforts of the incumbent administration.

Highlighting that the inception of the committee will prove to be beneficial to the residents of Fuvahmulah alongside alleviating many difficulties facing the community currently, VP Naseem stated that one of the most comprehensive and wide-reaching efforts conducted by the government is ensuring that the public can easily access goods and services from the comfort of their resident island or city without the need to travel to the capital.

The Hifz Committee comprises of three members; Committee President Abdullah Mufeed and members Hussain Adam and Ahmed Naseem.

VP Naseem held meetings with the committee members and inquired about their plans of action, going on to meet with some students preparing for their Hifz examinations and offered them encouragement.

VP Naseem is currently on a tour of southernmost Fuvahmulah and Addu cities, accompanied by a high-level delegation. He departed to the south on Tuesday and is scheduled to conclude his four-day tour of the south and return to the capital city on Friday.
