President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has urged to aim towards unleashing the full potential of the Expo Dubai 2020 and to ramp up ambitions to lift each other up in the efforts towards a greener, resilient and sustainable future in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Delivering remarks at the Dubai Expo 2020 in commemoration of the Maldives National Day, the Maldivian president pushed the participants to let action speak louder than works at the global gathering in order to address the pervasive issues of the current time including food insecurity to extreme hunger, pollution to habitat loss and cyberterrorism to financial shocks.
With this being said, he urged to ramp up ambitions and pool resources available to lift each other up in the efforts towards a more resilient future.

He noted that the leaders from over 100 countries have gathered in Dubai to explore the innovative solutions for overlapping challenges common across the globe and expressed confidence that the expo will provide an impressive platform for all the participants to learn from each other and to work collaboratively, towards creating the future “that we all desire”.
The Maldivian president expressed hope to observe the expo live up to its theme, “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.

President Solih also invited the participants to the Maldivian Pavilion located in the sustainability district and learn more about the archipelago nation carrying several investment opportunities.
