An entrepreneur has been found brutally slain in Dhangethi island of Alif Dhaal atoll.
The body of Mahmood Aboobakuru, 57, was found inside a well. His body was tied up and stuffed inside a sack. Dhangethi Council President Muaaviyath Rasheed revealed that Mahmood was a good man and a successful entrepreneur.
Mahmood is survived by four children. A forensic team is currently headed to the island from Mahibadhoo.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) has since confirmed that they received reports of a body discarded inside a well in the island, on Thursday.
Police are currently active in the island.
