Former Mayor of Addu City, Abdulla Sodiq has been appointed Minister of State for National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih presented Sodiq with his letter of appointment at a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Sunday morning.
Prior to his appointment as State Minister, Sodiq served three consecutive tenures as Mayor of southernmost Addu City.
The new State Minister completed his first degree, Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Chemical Technology from the University of South Australia, in Adelaide, Australia.
