Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that 60 percent of the shore projection project in Mulah island of Meemu atoll, has been completed.

In a Twitter post, the company revealed that work on the design and build of shore protection structures in Mulah island is well underway, with the project reaching 60 percent progression.

MTCC began the construction of geobag revetment on Tuesday, as the next step of the project.

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC, the agreement was signed by CEO Adam Azim on behalf of MTCC and Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Hameed on behalf of the ministry.

The project is worth MVR 17.66 million.

MTCC was awarded the project, to be completed within 105 days.

Under the scope of the project, MTCC is tasked with the construction of the geobag revetment measuring 412 meters.

The company continues to carry out major development projects nationwide, steadily and successfully.
