VP Naseem briefed on challenges facing children at ‘Fiyavathi’ shelter
The vice president toured the Hulhumalé children’s shelter, ‘Fiyavathi’ on Saturday
He engaged in discussions with the employees of the children’s shelter
State institutions and agencies are currently providing the necessary care for the children.

Vice President Faisal Naseem has been briefed on the concerns and challenges facing children at the Hulhumalé children’s shelter, ‘Fiyavathi’.

The vice president toured the facility on Saturday afternoon and engaged in discussions with the employees of the children’s shelter, as well as children under state care.

Sitting down with the staff and children at the facility, VP Naseem inquired about the services offered at the facility.

He was accompanied by Aishath Ali, the Minister of Education, Aishath Mohamed Didi, the Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services and Sheikh Imran Abdulla, the Minister of Home Affairs.

The President’s Office revealed that a team from the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services is currently working to resolve the challenges facing those at the facility and assured that the current issues surfacing for them would be solved as soon as possible.

State institutions and agencies are currently providing the necessary care for the children.
