The individual who sustained critical injuries in an assault that took place in Addu City, is being brought to the Maldives capital for further treatment.
Addu Equatorial Hospital revealed that injured in the attack is a 29-year-old man will be brought to Malé City on Saturday evening.
Media officer at the hospital, Shafy Mohamed revealed that the assault victim has suffered internal bleeding, however, he is currently in stable condition.
Maldives Police Service has since revealed that further investigations are underway, however, no arrests have been made yet.
It has been reported that the altercation between two groups had left two seriously injured, and the area blood-spattered.
Police received reports of the gang violence at around 12:08pm on Friday.
Not hours later, another assault was reported from Addu City, a little past 8pm, when two individuals, a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman was attacked while on a motorcycle.
