PAMS is the accounts module of the Total Offender Management System

The Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has begun using a Prisoner Accounts Management System (PAMS) to easily monitor prisoner finances.

MCS states that via PAMS, both the payments that go to prisoners and those under arrest from their families sent monthly though Bandeyri Pay and payments that go to prisoners who work for wages can be efficiently managed. This is in addition to the business transactions which can also be easily monitored.

PAMS is the accounts module of the Total Offender Management System. While this system monitors all prisoner records, PAMS only manages the financial records. Through this system, all the jails and the head office are connected with all records being monitored under one database.

This ensures that services are faster preventing issues caused by paper usage and double entries. The system is also being updated live. Consequently, the efforts of the officers and staff will be better, with them being more responsible.

Both the system and its module was formatted by the IT section of the MCS.
