Pakistan has gifted some equipment to the Civil Service Commission (CSC), for training and development purposes.
The items were gifted by Pakistan's High Commissioner to Maldives Vice Admiral Ather Mukhtar, at a ceremony held on Tuesday. CSC President Mohamed Nasih accepted the equipment on the commission's behalf.
Pakistan's donations include a 75-inch smart tv, 16 computer systems, six monitors and three laptops.
Speaking at the ceremony, CSC President Nasih thanked the Pakistan high commission for the generous donation, especially for the close relations maintained with the commission. He added that the equipment donated on Tuesday will assist in CSC's efforts to digitalize their services.
He added that it will also help expand its services.
Also speaking at the ceremony, High Commissioner Mukhtar stressed that the Maldives, Pakistan relations are purely based on common faith, culture, historical links, mutual respect and trust. Further noting that the high commission has been working with the Maldivian government in various areas including education, human resource development, health, sports as well as social projects for the benefit of the people, Mukhtar said that Maldivian civil servant will get the opportunity to get the training from Pakistani premier institutions.
