A fight had broken out between two individuals in an alley in Faashanaa Kilege Magu in capital Male' City on Saturday night leaving one injured.
Noting that the altercation was reported at around 9:50pm on Saturday, police said that the injured youth was transferred to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) immediately.
Police added that he had not sustained any serious injuries.
While media reports indicate that a sharp object was used in the fight, the authority denied this.
According to some photos circulating across social media platforms, the person’s head looked severely wounded.
Police continues investigation into the case.
