Ex-Pres Nasheed chosen as RaajjeTV Person of the Year

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has been selected as the Person of the Year for 2016 by RaajjeTV. Person of the Year was chosen out of four names selected by the channel, with voting open on SMS, Twitter and Facebook.

Former President Mohamed Nasheed faced President Yameen, MMPRC whistleblower Qasim Abdul Kareem and Galolhu South Constituency MP Ahmed Mahloof.

Nasheed had won 79.6 percent of votes, while President Yameen won 0.7 percent. Qasim Abdul Kareem won 10.9 percent of votes and MP Mahloof won 8.8 percent.

RaajjeTV extends congratulation to Person of Year Mohamed Nasheed on behalf of the viewers. Nasheed had played a vital role in the political field in 2016, fighting for the rights of the public and to empower citizens.
