Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited has cancelled this year’s hajj trips and deferred reservations by one year.

Those who have already made payments with the company and made reservations will be given the chance in order of reservations, next year.

Further information and inquiries may be sought through 7961012 or 9482292.

Implemented changes to the pilgrimage slots have also been published in the corporation’s website.

The ban on international visitors for Hajj 1442, by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes similarly to that of 2020. This was done regarding the continued risks stemming from the global Covid-19 pandemic. Only those who have been vaccinated against the pandemic, between 18 – 65 years of age will be given the chance within the kingdom to participate. Those who suffer from chronic illnesses and comorbidities will not be allowed to partake in Hajj pilgrimage of 1442.

Hajj is among the five pillars of Islam and every Muslim in good health and are able to afford it, must perform the pilgrimage at least once.
