A Maldivian pilgrim has died while in Mecca, Saudi Arabia to perform an Umrah pilgrimage .
The deceased has been identified as Aishath Ibrahim, 74 and native to Nadella island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll.
Some media outlets have cited the family revealing that Aishath picked up a cold during the Umrah trip. She is to have passed away while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Aishath is to have died from a stroke.
She is to have performed two Umrahs.
