The dead body was discovered in Dhiffushi island
A dead body has been discovered afloat near Dhiffushi island of Kaafu atoll.
A media official at the Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of a dead body afloat in the ocean near Dhiffushi island at around 1:15pm on Saturday.
The individual has been identified as a 23-year-old Indian national. The dead body has since been moved to the Dhiffushi Health Center.
The Police institution added that the case is under further investigation and that further information regarding the deceased will be shared with the public soon.
