Abdul Shakoor Abdulla (Kuttu), an executive coordinator at the Ministry of Youth and Sports has died of a heart attack.

Hussein Ameen, the media official to the Youth Ministry, confirmed the death to RaajjeMV.

The 27-year-old was found dead on Friday after a friend, who had struggled to reach him by phone, went to his apartment.

Kuttu had reportedly planned to go to Thakanudhoo island of Haa Atoll, which he is native to.

He has served as coordinator for the Youth Ministry since 2015, he had been promoted to the position of executive coordinator last year.
