The government has begun accepting nominations for this year’s National Awards.
In a statement on Thursday, the President’s Office revealed that the National Awards Committee began accepting nominations for the National Awards 2021, after it was initially announced earlier this week.
National Awards 2021 will be presented in 33 categories similar to previous years.
Nominees for the National Awards may be submitted through the nomination forms desginated for the purpose and state institutions, offices, independent institutions, companies, associations, and individuals may propose nominations.
The deadline to propose nominations has been set at 2pm, May 27 and nomination forms have been made available from the President’s Office front desk during official working hours. Further, interested individuals may also download the nomination forms from the official website.
Completed nomination forms are required to be addressed to the National Awards Committee or sent via email to [email protected].
The committee will accept forms on weekdays between 8am and 2pm.
National Awards 2021 will be hosted during the official National Day function
This year’s National Awards are scheduled to be conferred to recipients during the official National Day function.
This year’s National Day function is expected to be held in accordance to the guidelines and precautionary measures set as a safeguard against the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The Committee revealed that they will publicize further information regarding the National Awards 2021, through local media and social media platforms.
