Nominations have been opened for the National Awards 2023.

In a publication on Sunday, the President’s Office revealed that the National Awards Committee opened application under a revised policy, on Sunday.

On January 11, the committee announced its decision to revise the policy governing the National Awards.

It has since been publicized in the government gazette.

The President’s Office went on to reveal that nominations will be accepted through 3pm, March 16.

The revised policy notes that individuals aged 60 and older can submit nominations to the National Awards of Recognition, which were previously restricted, alongside allowing companies, non-governmental organizations, and associations with a service history of over 35 years to apply for the National Award of Honor.

Further, the committee has introduced two new categories to the National Awards which are culinary arts and engineering.

Individuals, companies and organizations with a service history of over 35 years that have received the National Award of Recognition may submit applications for the National Award of Honor 10 years after receiving the National Award of Recognition.

The committee also noted that individual nominees for the National Award of Recognition must have a minimum of seven years of service.

Companies and organizations with a service history of over ten years will be eligible for the award.

Nominations may be forwarded through the dedicated portal, submitted to the President's Office front desk, or emailed to [email protected]

The National Awards 2023 will be presented at the official function to mark Independence Day 2023.
