Al-Qari Ahmed Rasheed Abdul Qadir was awarded the National Award for Special Achievement as well


President confers the National Award for Special Achievement and Special Medal for Memorising the Holy Quran
This year's National Awards ceremony, held in conjunction with National Day celebrations on Tuesday night, saw 11 individuals receive the National Award for Special Achievement and 11 honorees receive special medals for memorizing the Holy Quran.
The awards were held at the Republic Square, and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih presented awards to the honorees.
Of the National Award for Special Achievement recipients, six attained exceptional distinction in completing studies at MQA rank 10, four individuals were awarded for achieving the highest ranking position in a higher academic course between MQA rank seven and nine. Three of the four individuals had attained the highest rank in MQA rank seven courses with one individual having attained the highest rank in a MQA rank nine course.
Further, Al-Qari Ahmed Rasheed Abdul Qadir was awarded the National Award for Special Achievement in recognition of his exemplary performance in innovating an internationally-recognized software to a standard recognized the by the government in order to improve literacy among those deprived of eyesight.
