Foreigner arrested over child sexual abuse allegations

A 36-year-old foreigner has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing an underage girl.
Noting that the case was filed at the police on December 2, it said that the man was taken into custody under a court order on Sunday. Police assured that an investigation is underway.
It revealed that the case was reported to its Upper South Police Division, however, it did not disclose any further details due to the sensitivity of the case.
While there has been an increase in sexual offences against children being reported, prosecutors recently began seeking suspects accused of such crimes to remanded for the duration of investigation and trial.
