New Radiant has climbed to the top spot on the Male’ League having defeated TC Sports Club in Monday’s match.
Spain’s Adrian Galado scored in the 17th minute, assisted by Ali Fasir. Galado was soon substituted, due to a thigh injury. Midh’hath Fahmy replaced him and scored the second goal for the team in the 13th minute of the second half.
New Radiant took a more defensive approach after the second goal. TC took advantage of this, controlling the second half to the match.
This showed, when TC’s Mahdhee scored in the 67th minute.
TC had many chances to equalize the score. TC’s Captain Nafiu and New Radiant’s Suhail and Nuhad all had chances to change the score line, without much success.
New is at the top of the table with 12 points. Green Streets is at the second, with 10 points and Maziya is at the third with nine points.
