President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih observed the activities held by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) in commemoration of 'Range Day 2020'.
The president visited Girifushi island in Malé atoll on Saturday, where he observed the 'Range Day 2020' activities held at the Girifushi Training Center.
During his visit to the island, the president was briefed on the additional safety measures that are to be enforced at Girifushi Training Center, by officials of MNDF.
Girifushi Training Center was reopened on Saturday.
The president inspected the weapons and fire targets used in the shooting range, during his visit as well.
Solih was joined by Minister of Defense, Mariya Ahmed Didi, and Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal during his visit to Girifushi island.
They were received by Chief of Defense, Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, and other senior MNDF officials upon arrival.
MNDF hosts activities to commemorate Range Day, annually.
