Another Maldivian Covid-19 patient have succumbed to the virus.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) reported the death as the 38th death from the ongoing global coronavirus, on Saturday night.
According to the public health authority, deceased is a 60-year-old Maldivian man who was taken to the Dhaalu Atoll Hospital on Friday at 7:30pm.
He is to have passed away at around 9:45pm on Friday.
The 38th death from the infection has been reported over a week after an 80-year-old Maldivian man who was admitted at the Hulhumalé Medical Facility (HMF) for treatment, passed away on October 18.
Although virus cases being reported over the past few weeks have been steadily dropping, public health authorities continue to stress on the importance of strictly adhering to the safety and precautionary measures, as Maldives is far from controlling the virus, yet.
