Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed major progress in a number of development projects nationwide, within a week.
As such, the contractor successfully completed the Raa atoll Vandhoo harbor upgrade project on Sunday.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC dredged and excavated a region measuring 1,870 cubic meters and constructed a quay wall measuring 75 meters.
The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC on August 26 worth MVR 99.5 million.

Further, MTCC mobilized the Shaviyani atoll Foakaidhoo harbor upgrade project site on Thursday.
Contracted to the company on December 29 last year, the project is valued at MVR 55.97 million.
With overall 85 percent project progress, the construction of Bahaudheen Road in Hulhumeedhoo island, Seenu atoll is nearing completion as well.
MTCC revealed that they are currently supplying streetlights for the installation operation which is 48 percent completed.
The road construction project in Hulhumeedhoo district of southernmost Addu City was mobilized on April 1, last year.
MTCC is currently conducting work for 47 development projects nationwide, initiated for the social development of island communities. Out of this, four projects are ongoing in Raa atoll.
