Customs officers at the airport discovered 4.448 kilos of drugs in the luggage of a 28-year-old man
Maldives Customs Service has seized over 4kg drugs that were being smuggled into the country via air.
On Tuesday, Customs officers at the airport discovered 4.448 kilos of drugs in the luggage of a 28-year-old man who arrived from Bangladesh.
The drugs found in his luggage are to have tested positive for cannabis.
Customs stated that a total of 4.448 kg was confiscated, worth MVR 3,558,400.
The man has been handed over to the police, along with the confiscated drugs, and they continue to investigate the case.
