Maldives Covid-19 case count has surpassed 2,800.
While 39 cases were reported on Tuesday, out of the 792 samples tested in 24 hours, they include mostly locals. As such, 27 Maldivians, seven Bangladeshi nationals and five Indian nationals are among the cases confirmed on Tuesday.
This brings the country’s total Covid-19 case count to 2,801.
Further, with the 12 additional recoveries, total recoveries sits at 2,302.
There are currently 470 active cases.
While the country has reported 14 deaths to Covid-19, the last one was reported earlier on Tuesday; a 79-year-old Maldivian woman admitted at the Hulhumalé Medical Facility passed away in the evening.
