Ooredoo Maldives is scheduled to host a special digital music show in celebration of Eid-Al-Fitr, on Sunday night.
The telecommunications giant revealed that “Ooredoo Eid Show 2020” will begin at 9pm on Sunday and that a variety of local talents including Habeys Boduberu, Ibrahim Waheed, celebrated guitarist Fasy, Mira Mohamed Majid and several others will be performing virtually, in order to make the auspicious occasion “more cheerful, colorful and connected” for viewers who are forced to stay home due to the pandemic.
Those who wish to stream the show may do so online, via the telecom giant’sYoutube Channe. The show may also be streamed through Ooredoo’s other social media platforms.
Further, Ooredoo Maldives has also extended the day’s greetings to the frontline workers in the Maldives, for their tireless efforts to curb the spread of the disease in the country.
Highlighting the work of Maldivian Red Crescent, Ooredoo encouraged viewers of the show to offer a donation to the NGO to help them continue their services to the people. Maldivian Red Crescent has been providing essential food and necessities to both locals and migrants who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
While Eid-Al-Fitr has fallen during a time the Covid-19 pandemic has plunged the entire globe into a pit of fear, Muslim communities worldwide traditionally celebrates the feast marking the end of Ramadan, with family members and loved ones.
However, Muslim communities have been torn away from their families and loved ones during this Eid.
