Victor Lindelof, who recently signed with Manchester United, recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend while in holiday in the Maldives.

According to reports, Man United's new boy popped the question to Maja Nilsson during their stay in Hurawalhi Maldives Resort earlier this month.

The Sweden international and his partner jetted off to the Maldives after attending a friend's wedding on June 17.

Nilsson, who works in marketing and is a writer for the Swedish blog 'Femme', announced their engagement via twitter on June 22, using their private pool in Hurawalhi Resort, with Nilsson flashing her diamond ring with a fist.

She later posted a photo on Instagram, with the caption "ready to be Mrs. Lindelof".

22-year-old Lindelof signed with Manchester United earlier this month, for a weekly £80,000 pay check.
