The FENAKA branch stationed in Manadhoo island of Noonu atoll has resolved the power cut issue facing the island.

It has been a week since the issue surfaced and authorities had discovered Covid-19 cases on the island while the issue remained unsolved.

Providing a solution for the issue was long-drawn out, due to the strong monsoon activities causing rain showers in the region, revealed the corporation.

As such, the Managing Director of FENAKA, Ahmed Saeed Mohamed revealed that the issues with the electricity network have been resolved, despite workers facing a number of challenges due to the weather conditions.

The company’s MD applauded the work of his employees, for their resilience.

Speaking to RaajjeMV earlier, the island council’s president revealed that the electricity issue surfaced due to faulty cables and it was resolved, temporarily. This in turn led to hindrances in adequately generating electricity to the households.

The electricity network issue was resolved by planting new cables, which was faced with challenges due to the rain.
