Six additional Covid-19 recoveries have been recorded in the Maldives.
According to the Covid-19 dashboard of the Ministry of Health, the total of recoveries in the Maldives has reached 80.
The number was at 74 on Monday with 13 recoveries reported being cases reported prior to the discovery of the community transmission in the Greater Malé Region.
The Health Protections Agency (HPA) earlier revealed that the recovery period is taking longer than the authorities initially predicted.
As such, it takes an average of 17 days for coronavirus-stricken patients to recover, and the recovery rate currently sits at 7.23%, lower than anticipated.
The country’s mortality rate is currently at 0.36% with four recorded Covid-19 related deaths.
While the total case count rose to 1,106 on Monday, there are 13 patients currently hospitalized.
