Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested a 23-year-old in connection to a case of theft in Maafaru island of Noonu atoll.
Police received the theft case some time on Tuesday night and an investigative team from Manadhoo arrived in the island afterward.
The 23-year-old man was arrested consecutively and officers were able to recover MVR 4,100 from the stolen money.
The case is under further investigations.
