Additional 17 confirmed cases of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) have emerged in the Maldives.
The reveal was made on Tuesday afternoon by the Health Protection Agency (HPA). The Tweet reads that three individuals had tested positive to the virus early Tuesday, Patients 227 – 229.
Patients 227 and 228 are one Maldivian and One Bangladeshi national, HPA has not revealed which is which. The Ministry of Health’s dashboard reveals that the Maldivian patient is a 33-year-old and is linked to the MHF cluster. Details of the Bangladeshi national were not revealed.
With the new development, the tally is risen to 245.
Included among the new cases are nine Bangladeshis, four Indians and three Maldivians.
