The government has revealed its decision to carry individuals who are released from quarantine, on cargo flights.
Speaking during Friday night's press briefing, Covid-19 spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Aziz revealed that the country's national airline Maldivian is operating cargo flights carrying supplies to atolls. He added that those who wish to go back to their home islands after completing the quarantine period may do so via the cargo flights arranged to respective atolls.

In an earlier press conference, Mabrook had revealed that those who are quarantined and released after the 14-day period under the set protocol, will not be required to go through another quarantine period.
At a time the Greater Malé Region has been locked down, authorities have also placed travel restrictions under which domestic trips have been banned.
