Authorities have confirmed two new cases of Covid-19 in capital city Malé.
This raises the total number of cases from the city to 14, and the country’s total to 34.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that patient 33 is direct contact of Patient 28 and patient 34 was a direct contact of patient 27.
Both are currently being transferred to an isolation facility.
Patient 27 and 28 tested positive after presenting to the flu clinic with symptoms on Friday, however both cases have no connection and are two separate clusters.
The capital was placed on lockdown following the discovery of Covid-19 cases within the city.
