Maldive Gas has revealed that their gas cylinders will only be delivered up to the building entrance.
The company earlier introduced an emergency gas delivery service and has since revealed that they will deliver to the building entrance and after that, the recipient will need to pick up their order from there.
Customers have also been requested to leave the empty cylinders at the entrance of the building so that the company’s delivery team can pick it up.
The decision was made as a safety precaution against the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) which is spreading across the globe swiftly since the pandemic emerged from China in December 2019.
The company has thanked customers for their support and cooperation during these trying times.
Maldive Gas Managing Director Ali Ikram has assured the public that their services will continue and they have also made arrangements to store their gas cylinders. These preparations have been pre-planned since January.
As such, the company has an adequate stock that will last for a one-month period. They have also prepared the required documents for the next shipment as well, for which the administrative work is near completion.
However, the company has stressed that they will face delays in delivery timings due to the lockdown that has been declared across the capital region.
Maldive Gas assures that their deliveries will be made within at least half an hour, despite the hindrances.
