A Maldivian national who visited the Male' flu clinic has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced - via Twitter on Wednesday - that a Maldivian national who visited the Male' flu clinic has tested positive for Covid-19.

This is the first confirmed case discovered from Male' City. The total number of confirmed cases is 21.

Patient 21 has been transferred to an isolation facility, says HPA.

With the addition of the new case, the number of Maldivians testing positive for Covid-19 has risen to six.
