Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested an individual in connection to an assault case in Dharavandhoo island of Baa atoll.
Police received the assault report on 29 March and it is to have taken place in connection to a case of theft inside a local residence on 28 March.
The 29-year-old man is to have stabbed his younger brother, 26, with a pair of scissors amid a quarrel after the younger sibling allegedly stole from the elder brother.
The 29-year-old was arrested on Sunday, said police.
The case is under further investigation.
