Covid-19: five islands, a safari and a yacht under monitoring
 
Thus far, 324 have been taken out of which 13 tested positive to the disease in Maldives

Five islands, a safari and a yacht are currently under monitoring, revealed the government.

Speaking to press on Tuesday, Mabrook Aziz, government spokesperson for the Covid-19 pandemic, revealed that Gili Lankanfushi Maldives, Mathiveri island in Alif Alif atoll, Anantara Kihavah, Furaveri Island Resort & Spa Maldives and RIU Hotels and Resort are under monitoring, along with Island Safari 1 and My Sky Yacht.

In addition, the spokesperson revealed that thus far, 324 have been taken out of which 13 tested positive to the disease in Maldives.

While 286 tested negative, authorities are yet to receive the results of 25 samples and one sample has been sent for a second round.

On Tuesday, authorities placed an individual from RIU Hotels and Resort Maldives in Dhaalu atoll under home-isolation following symptoms. Samples are being taken, revealed the Health Protection Agency (HPA). Two individuals have also been placed under home-isolation at Furaveri Island Resort.

As for those in isolation and quarantine, Mabrook revealed that there are 25 individuals under isolation at Farukolhufushi and none in Vilivaru Quarantine. A total of 27 individuals have been quarantined at Hulhulé Island Hotel.

In addition, four individuals are being treated at the 11th floor of Dharumavantha Hospital and one at the 16th floor of the hospital.

Mabrook added that the facility in Velidhu Resort is ready, however, no individuals have been taken there for isolation yet.
