The Government of India has donated critical medicines to assist the Maldives' in efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Thursday, the High Commission of India announced the Indian government's decision to dispatch a medical relief team and donate medicines required for the treatment of the disease.
While the Indian medical relief team arrived on Friday, a three month supply of essential medicines was received on Saturday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid thanked the Indian Government via Twitter on Saturday, highlighting that the country cannot face the pandemic alone.
