The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that samples of the three individuals released for self-isolation at home earlier on Thursday tested negative two consecutive times.
The reveal was made via Twitter on Thursday, where HPA noted that samples were taken from the three individuals; one Maldivian and two foreign nationals, on two separate occasions.
It notes that tests turned negative both times.
The three individuals were quarantined at Vilivaru Quarantine Facility prior to being transferred home for self-isolation on Thursday.
On Wednesday, about three Maldivians were transferred to the isolation facility for testing after they returned to Maldives from China, Bangladesh and Italy respectively.
Further details regarding the transfer have not been disclosed.
