Another audio clip of an alleged conversation between Toursim Minister Ali Waheed and Transport Minister Aishath Nahula, has been leaked.
Twitter user ‘LeaksMV’ has leaked a number of alleged audios of the tourism minister this February, where the voice said to be him is heard making offensive and degrading comments about his colleagues, including Nahula, Education Minister Aishath Ali and Health Minister Abdulla Ameen.
Earlier this week, this account leaked an audio of an alleged phone call between the tourism and transport ministers, where the latter is confronting her colleague over the manner in which he had spoken about her.
While Waheed had claimed that audios of him insulting his fellow cabinet ministers “are fake” and an attempt to defame him, the voice said to be Nahula confirmed the phone call between two that was leaked previously this week “is real.”
In the new audio clip, both voices are really heated and are heard making various accusations at each other.
At one point the female voice is heard asking “what guarantee do I have that this call will not be leaked?”
The person said to be Waheed is heard saying “I am not such a person”.
The female voice also expressed worry over a possible video leak, adding that she hopes that “such irrelevant stuff is not leaked.”
Both parties also touched on the transport minister’s relationship with her husband Qasim Ibrahim, leader of ruling coalition partner Jumhooree Party (JP) where Waheed is the president, with the voice said to be Nahula boasting that she has Qasim’s full confidence.
While police previously revealed that it has not received an official complaint regarding the audio leaks, an investigation was launched into a sexual harassment issue notice in one of clips.
