Renowned restaurant chain in the Maldives, Symphony has signed on as a gold partner with the “GOLD 100 Gala” and Business Expo 2020.
The agreement was signed by Director Ishana Waleed on behalf of Symphony and Chief Executive Officer of Orca Maldives, organizer of both events, Dr. Hussain Sunny Umar.
The most prestigious business-networking awards in the nation, GOLD 100 confers the awards to the most elite 100 companies selected among over 13,000 business companies in the Maldives and is the only one of its kind.
Further, two Lifetime Achievement awards will also be conferred at the GOLD 100 2020, Hosted by Corporate Maldives in collaboration with Orca Media Group. The Lifetime Achievement award recognizes visionary business leaders who contributed significantly to the business community.
All nominees for the awards are required to meet the set criteria of being registered as a 100% Maldivian company and having acquired an income of MVR 10 million during 2016. The selection criterion for the award ensures full transparency and is not biased so as to reflect that the entities on the list are the Maldives top 100 companies.
The invitation-only networking event brings together top executives of the Maldives business community and is based on a list of leading 100 businesses in the country, publicized by Corporate Maldives annually.
The listing features leading 100 business entities and is published by Corporate Maldives at each year-end. The listing for 2019 will be publicized during the event, slated for 25 February, to be held in Dharubaaruge.
Organized by Corporate Maldives, the Business Expo is a trade show that provides a platform for businesses to promote their portfolios and allows entrepreneurs especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to demonstrate their innovations and find the right audience for their products and services.
With over 150 exhibitors and 3,000 professionals, the trade show is scheduled to be held from 23 – 24 February in Dharubaaruge.
Dubbed a golden platform for businesses to take their portfolios to new heights, the expo will bring over 1,500 professionals under one roof to stream ideas and intends to inspire futurists. Said professionals can inspire futurists by sharing their success stories which are expected to ideate and generate new approaches that respond to challenges and aspirations of young entrepreneurs.
