BML launches new Account Opening and Loan Centre dedicated to personal customers

Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched an Account Opening and Loan Center exclusively dedicated to personal banking customers.

The center, located on the first floor of the bank's Customer Service Center on Ameenee Magu, began services after a soft opening on Wednesday and is set to operate from from 8.30 am to 3pm.

According to BML's senior manager of retail and management, Badrudreen Fahmy, customers can contact the center to make pre-booked appointments so as to not wait in queue.

Nevertheless, walk-in customers will also be served at the center, said Badrudeen, adding that each appointment serves up to three people.

BML states that the new center is dedicated to assisting personal banking customers with account opening and personal loan services while applications for cards, internet banking, cheque book requests and international transfers as well as transactional services for personal customers will be provided from the bank's Main Branch. Likewise, the Customer Service Cente is exclusively for statements and card collection services.

BML currently has 38 branches across 20 atolls, 50 self-service banking centers, 115 ATMs, 277 cash agents as well as online banking and aims to expand their services across the entire country.
