Workshop on "Image Guided Therapies" held at IGMH

A workshop on image-guided therapies, led by specialists from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), has been held at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The workshop, held under a program known as Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Tuesday, was led by the Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Dr Randeep Guleria.
According to a press release by the Embassy of India, the visit by the specialists of AIIMS is part of the "Memorandum of Understanding in the field of Health" signed between the governments of India and the Maldives during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to the Maldives in June 2019. They revealed that the first working group meeting held under this MoU was on 5th January 2020.
Highlighting that the health sector is one of the priorities of the Maldives' government, the embassy stated that the health sector has been one of the main areas of collaboration between the two countries and reiterated India's commitment in providing the necessary training to Maldivian medical professionals.
Noting the success of the workshop, the embassy revealed future plans for collaboration such as additional workshops, technician training, and a joint research project by specialists of AIIMS and the Maldives.
