An urban hotel chain from the United States, The Standard’s resort nestled in Huruvalhi Island of Raa Atoll in Maldives has made CNN’s “20 Great New Hotels to Visit during 2020” list.
While The Standard Maldives made the 15th spot on the list, Reefsuites in the Great Barrier Reef of Australia made the privileged first.
Deemed a “strange choice”, The Standard was established in Huruvalhi island with 115 villas including over-water villas with pools and lounges, perfect for millennial travelers.
The chain has been dispersed among seven hotels thus far; Standard Miami Beach in Miami, Standard Hollywood, Standard Down Town in Los Angeles, Standard East Village, Standard London as well as a few more.
The resort also features a spa, yoga facility, karaoke as well as beach bonfires and several other entertaining activities for enthusiastic travelers.
While it was previously run as Carpe Diem Maldives, it was re-branded and relaunched in August this year.
