Maldivian found dead in Malaysia brought back to Malé
 
Upon receiving the report, Maldives Embassy in Malaysia had begun investigating the death
 
The man was found dead on 24 December

The body of the Maldivian man who was recently found dead in Malaysia has been brought to Maldives.

Mohamed Shinan Yoosuf, 44, was found dead late 24 December, and once the report reached the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they revealed that the Maldives Embassy in Malaysia began investigating the case.

However, the ministry is yet to divulge further details regarding Shinan’s death.

His funeral prayer is set to be held at Aasahara Mosque after Isha prayer on Sunday.

Malaysia has a large community of Maldivians reaching about 2,300 who reside there for a variety of purposes, including educational.

Several Maldivians also travel to Malaysia on leisure trips during the year-end holidays.
