MMPRC reduces membership fee
This was done to increase members and their involvement
Changes will be implemented from 31 October onwards

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has reduced the cost of its membership fee.

MMPRC via an announcement revealed that the company’ Board of Directors passed to reduce the fee for membership at the corporation, from 1 January 2020 onwards. While the change was implemented on 31 October, registration for membership opens in January.

The company revealed that the objective around this change is to increase its member count and their involvement in tourism promotion across the nation.

MMPRC was formed with a mission to promote sustainable growth in Maldives tourism industry and has been carrying out several promotional activities with the involvement of several industry workers as members of the corporation. Some of them include travel agents, dive centers, airlines as well as those serving in different posts in tourism.

The corporation has thus far this year, participated in 37 different roadshows and fairs in order to promote the country’s tourism.

MMPRC has formed during the tenure of current Parliament Speaker and Former President Mohamed Nasheed and was registered in August 2014 at the Ministry of Economic Development.
