Maldives condemns attacks on Aramco facilities
The foreign ministry stated that these attacks against critical infrastructure endanger civilian lives and is a dangerous escalation

The attacks have disrupted about half of Saudi Arabia’s oil capacity
The Government of Maldives has condemned the drone attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Aramco oil facilities in Abqaiq and Hijra Khurais.
In a press release on Sunday, the foreign ministry stated that these attacks against critical infrastructure endanger civilian lives and is a dangerous escalation that will destabilise Saudi Arabia’s security and stability as well as increase tensions in the region.
The foreign ministry stated that the Maldives government reaffirms its solidarity with the people and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterates its steadfast commitment to the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Yemen's Houthi rebels have taken responsibility for the attacks on the oil facilities, which have disrupted about half of Saudi Arabia’s oil capacity, or 5% of the daily global oil supply.
