In collaboration with Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Cocoon Maldives is set to host the International Kite Festival in Maldives this year as well.
While this is the second time the festival is to be held in Maldives, Cocoon plans to host it in three different venues. As such, the first session will proceed at the Ekuveni Stadium in capital city Malé on 28 September, with the second session following up in Hinnavaru island of Lhaviyani atoll on 4 October.
The inaugural festival, held in 2017, turned out to be an immense success.
The activities will proceed from 28 September to 3 October, in Cocoon Maldives as well.
International Kite Festival’s second edition is being celebrated with kite flying champions from around the globe, Edy Angelino from Italy, Guilherme Linares Palau from Brazil and Daniel Y. Wu from China.
The champions will demonstrate kite-flying techniques to attendees, who get to participate in an exciting lucky draw that grants a complimentary holiday at the five-star resort for the lucky winner.
Cocoon further revealed that they will be hosting a Kite Exhibition Week within the duration of the festival to their in-house guests. The exhibition is to feature kite imprints used by the three global champions, who will also provide kite-flying lessons to in-house guests.
