Maldives Immigration has revealed that 11 individuals had attempted to enter Maldives using fake passports thus far this year.
While it has been close to nine months into the year, immigration revealed this via Twitter on Wednesday with a censored collage of all 11 individuals.
All 11 were sent back in accordance with the respective country’s international conventions.
The individuals were captured by immigration officials while attempting to enter Maldives with fake passports of look-alikes.
Although no further details were revealed regarding the impostors, immigration last dealt with similar cases earlier this week.
This year, some nationals of Belarus were captured attempting to enter Tunisia on a couple of Maldivian passports.
