Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof has taken a tour across Meemu atoll.

Minister Mahloof began the tour on Friday night, his first stop being in Raiymandhoo.

During his visit, Mahloof had assured the island community that the ministry will begin work to build a Futsal Ground on the island as soon as a plot is allocated for it.

His trip expanded across Dhiggaru, Maduvvari, Veyvah and Mulak on Saturday.

Some of the discussions during his visit to Dhiggaru include developing the island’s football pitch and building a volley court to modern standards in the island.

Futsal Grounds are also to be built in Maduvvari, Veyvah

Mahloof announced plans to develop an outdoor gym, an outdoor volley court and a park in Maduvvari, as well as Veyvah and Mulak.

Further, the ministry will also develop the island’s football pitch and the badminton court.

Minister Mahloof will conclude his tour across Meemu atoll on Sunday after completing visits to the remaining islands, Kolhufushi, Naalaafushi and Muli.
